Course Description
This course run by Immediate Care Training, Ireland is designed primarily for healthcare professionals managing adult patients in clinical and aesthetic settings. The focus is on recognising and managing cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and choking in adults.
The programme follows current American Heart Association guidelines and places strong emphasis on high-quality adult CPR, team dynamics and AED use in clinical environments.
The course is particularly relevant for aesthetic practitioners working with sedation, local anaesthetic, or managing patients who become acutely unwell in clinic.
Course Content
• Adult BLS (primary practical focus)
• Key differences in Child & Infant BLS (knowledge overview)
• High-quality CPR (1 & 2 rescuer)
• Use of AED
• Bag-valve-mask ventilation
• Emergency Oxygen administration
• Relief of choking
• Team dynamics in cardiac arrest
• Recognition of the deteriorating adult patient
• Management considerations in the sedated patient
• Common medical emergencies including Anaphylaxis
• Emergency Action Planning (EAP) in private practice settings
Certification & Accreditation
Upon successful completion, participants receive:
• Official American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard (valid for 2 years)
• Immediate Care Training Certificate of Attendance
• CPD Certificate
The AHA BLS Provider eCard is internationally recognised and accepted across Ireland, the USA and most international healthcare settings.
